Bee a Hero – Volunteer with Us!

Bee a Hero for the Bi+ Community & Volunteer with the BRC Today!

As the oldest national bi-specific organization in the U.S., the Bisexual Resource Center (BRC) has done a lot in the last 30 years, ranging from leading national awareness and advocacy projects to hosting bi-specific events and groups in the Greater Boston Area. But nothing would be able to happen without a devoted team of volunteers. These superheroes don their pink, purple, and blue uniforms and then soar out into the community to make the world a better place for folks in the middle sexualities.

And we want you to join us!

Social Media Volunteers: Members of the Social Media Committee meet several times a year in Somerville, Massachusetts to discuss online initiatives and campaigns, but virtual volunteers are also needed to help us manage our Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, and Pinterest feeds.

Event Volunteers: We host several large events (e.g. marching in pride parades, House Party, Celebrate Bisexuality Day) throughout the year in the Greater Boston Area and need help promoting and assisting at the events. Virtual volunteers could help promote or coordinate these events.

Local Volunteers: Every few months we hold volunteer nights at our office in Back Bay, Boston, and do various administrative tasks, such as inventory of our merchandise, sending out mailings, and making signs and decorations for Pride.

Blog Contributors: Talented writers who have a wide range of ideas of bi-specific articles are needed to write for our recently launched blog! This would be a particularly great opportunity for virtual volunteers to participate in.

If you are interested in signing up for one or more of these volunteer corps, let us know at brc@biresource.org! We will put you on a contact list to let you know when we need help.
